Mikey was awarded a special certificate of fire watch this morning. He noticed the power pole transformer on fire yesterday. We evacuated the staff from school and called the authorities. Thank you Mikey for having a watchful eye and being vigilant.

Our staff normally attends the Rural School Conference, but the date change this year prevents our participation. We usually take advantage of this event for breakout sessions and training, however, Kagan visited our school this time, providing a refresher for some and new information for others. We are eager to apply these structures starting Monday.

Our annual Open House is this Wednesday, August 14th @ 6:00 in the GYM. There will be a concession stand to support our 8th graders. We will have special guests speaking to the community. For our 8th grade parents a mandatory meeting @ 7:15 in the 8th grade room while the rest of the parents will visit their kid's classes.
