Bus drivers

Parents and Guardians,

Ensuring the safety of our students during transportation is our top priority. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to share important information and reminders to ensure that every student travels safely to and from school.

1. Bus Stop Safety

Please ensure your child arrives at the bus stop at least five minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.

Teach your child to stay at a safe distance from the road while waiting for the bus and to avoid any horseplay.

Remind your child to wait for the bus to come to a complete stop before approaching it and to board the bus in an orderly manner.

2. On the Bus:

Students should remain seated at all times while the bus is in motion.

Encourage your child to speak quietly and avoid distracting the driver.

Remind your child to follow the bus driver's instructions and to treat fellow passengers with respect.

3. Crossing the Road

If your child needs to cross the street after getting off the bus, they should always cross in front of the bus and only when the bus driver signals that it is safe to do so.

Teach your child to look both ways before crossing and to be aware of their surroundings.

4. Emergency Procedures:

We conduct regular bus evacuation drills to prepare students for emergencies. Please reinforce the importance of these drills with your child.

Ensure your child understands the importance of following the bus driver's instructions during an emergency.

5. Parental Responsibility

Please ensure that an adult is present at the bus stop for younger students, both during pick-up and drop-off times.

Inform the transportation department of any changes in your child's transportation needs well in advance.

6. Communication:

Stay informed by checking updates from the school or transportation department regarding any changes in bus schedules or routes.

If your child has any specific transportation needs or concerns, please contact us so we can accommodate and address them appropriately.

We appreciate your cooperation and support in helping us maintain a safe and efficient transportation program for our students. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact our transportation office at (928) 454-2242 Ext 107 or click here to send an Email

Thank you for your attention to these important safety measures. Together, we can ensure a safe and successful school year for all our students.

Sincerely,

Ariana Lopez
